|More About Our Family
|Our Special Interests|
We truly are each other's best friends. Our favorite hobby together is to travel to locations such as Jeanna's Dad's in Montana to unplug and spend quality time together or to Seattle to watch a Seahawks game. We also love to fly-fish and spend time with our dog, Shiloh. Andy has taught himself how to tie his own flies that we use when we go fly fishing. Jeanna has learned how to refinish furniture and has made our house a home.
We have attended our local Baptist church for 6 years and every year we volunteer to spend a week at teen church camp as the camp nurses. Our church is excited for us to start our family and is very supportive of our plan for adoption.
|Our Musical Interest|
Music is a big part of our lives. Upon entering our home you will usually hear worship or country music playing in the background. Andy also loves to make up songs and sings to our dog as he helps her to take her medication every day.
|About Our Home|
We built our home in 2015. It has plenty of room to grow our family with 3 bedrooms and a large bonus room/movie room/play room. We are only 1 block from our neighborhood playground and pool. We currently enjoy bringing our siblings and their children to the pool but we can't wait to experience it with a child.
|Our Occupation |
We supported each other through applying to nursing school, acceptance into the program and earning our Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Andy works as a registered nurse in the Critical Care unit for adults and Jeanna works as a registered nurse in Labor & Delivery. We truly value the opportunities we have been given through our education and as a result it is very important to us that the child/children we raise have the same opportunities. We plan to start education funds as soon as we adopt to ensure our child has no limitations.
Once we adopt, Andy will continue to work full time (3 days/week) and Jeanna will cut back to only 6 days/month. This schedule is not only flexible but will allow for quality time as a family, no need for childcare.
|We live in the state of...|
Idaho and we love it! It's a great combination of big city living with the possibility of outdoor adventures.
We live in a neighborhood filled with families. It is not uncommon to see people out with their children on walks or riding bikes and we enjoy taking Shiloh on walks daily. Our neighborhood is surrounded by country lands and farm fields but is only a few minutes from the shopping center. We are also only 30 minutes- 1 hour away from most of our family members.
|We Prefer a Child Who Is...
|Age of Child|
Newborn - 3 months of age
We would love twins! We not only have space in our home to care for twins but we believe our support system and financial freedom would also help us to care for twins.
We are open to either gender
We would be happy to take a sibling up to 2 years of age.
|Ethnicity of Child||African American, African American/Hispanic, African American/ Caucasian, Asian, and Asian/ Caucasian |
|Future Contact with Birth Family|
We are open to maintaining a relationship with the birth family if that is what they would like. We understand that it is healthy for a child to maintain this relationship and what is best for the child is our primary interest. We love to travel and see new parts of the United States so visits would not be an issue. We would love to send pictures, letters, and face-time when traveling is not an option.
Thank you for taking the time to read through our website and for getting to know about us. We promise to provide your child with a life of unity, security, love, and support as a family. We look forward to building an open relationship and sharing letters, pictures, and visits.
