|More About Our Family
Opportunities we will offer
Education is so important and we both have an advanced degree. Our degrees allow us to do the things we enjoy most and we believe we make a difference in our community. Part of our education is experiencing the world around us. We travel as often as we can. Weekends are often spent exploring the great state of Louisiana and its beauty. Summer vacations take us around the United States and across the globe. Beach vacations with extended family give the opportunity to relax.
We are practicing Christians, and faith is very important to each of us. It's not something that we practice just on Sunday mornings but molds all that we do in life. Our heartfelt desire is to pass on our faith to our children. Our parents taught us the importance of faith, and we want to teach our children the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. Service is an important part of faith. Shannon serves at the local homeless shelter on Tuesday evenings and we enjoy putting Dan's woodworking skills to work. We have been blessed and try to share our blessings!
Our Musical Interest
We are country music lovers! Born and raised in the South, we love the twang and the message of classic country music. Often times Saturday nights are spent with a Sonic milkshake and a drive around town as we listen to Classic Country Saturday Nights. We also enjoy Cajun, blues, and soul music, as it is a deep part of our culture. No festival is complete without a rendition of a Louis Armstrong classic or a band with a washboard player.
Home Sweet Home
Our house has truly become a home. It is a place where all are welcome and good meals are enjoyed. There's plenty of room for your child to play. With over half an acre, the backyard has plenty of space for children to run and play. Evenings are best spent enjoying the screened-in patio, whether we are having dinner or taking in a sunset.
We live in the state of...
Louisiana is a special place. The people are kind, the culture is festive, and the food is delicious. We love calling Louisiana home and take every opportunity to enjoy its treasures. We hope to soon share our special place with a child or children. So many yummy foods, so many fun festivals, so much beauty. Our extended family also lives in Louisiana, which is why we intend to keep this state our permanent home.
What we hope to share
Life is meant to be lived and shared, so we take every opportunity to live the life we have been given and share our gifts with others. Faith is a part of our everyday lives. We are actively involved in service to the community and church. We also enjoy sports, travel, and the outdoors. When the weather is nice, we take advantage of the beauty of our surroundings. We enjoy kayaking, gardening, picnicking and attending sporting events.
