A Letter from Joe & Colleen
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our profile! Due to infertility, we are unable to naturally conceive a child. Through thoughts and prayer, we are extremely excited to continue building our family through a second adoption with Lifetime! We are excited for our son to share the remarkable bond of adoption with his new sibling, now and forever. We have a strong family support system, financial means, and an endless amount of love that drives us to bring another child into our blessed lives. We know that God has lead us on this path.
We have been married for over nine years, are best friends, and possess the perfect combination of likeness and differences. Both growing up in New England, we admire the hot summers and frigid winters. We were both baptized, confirmed, and married in the Catholic church. We love filling our calendar with family gatherings near and far – some just west of Boston, others in Connecticut, Vermont, NYC, and Long Island. We work hard during the week and look forward to nightly dinners with in the evening. Weekends are reserved for seasonal activities like hayrides, apple picking, visiting the zoo, day trips to the ocean and over night stays to attractions within a short drive. We believe that life in Massachusetts is truly the best place in the country and we cannot wait to create and share more adventures with our growing family!
Colleen grew up in Massachusetts as a competitive Irish Step Dancer where she competed Internationally and Nationally. Colleen has embraced motherhood with an outpouring of love. In her spare time, Colleen enjoys staying involved with the world of Irish Step Dance where she helps to guide girls and boys to a life plentiful in confidence, courage, and happiness. Colleen’s patience, kindness, and gift for animated storytelling are qualities that amplify her friendships with everyone. Colleen is so excited to pass along the holiday and family traditions of her childhood with another child in our family. Colleen reminds us to always stop and smell the flowers – for reflection and for many dreams to come.
Joe lives life with a family-first mentality. He is a loving Uncle to his older sister’s two children who just turned nine & 10 years old and an amazing father to our three-year-old son. Joe cherishes life’s unexpected path and embraces the memories, moments, and people met along the way. Joe has a true passion for helping to develop tomorrow’s leaders and owns his own sports performance facility for high school and college athletes. Joe is always taking extra time to teach life-lessons, tips, and tricks to the athletes he mentors. Joe is a practical thinker that embraces the simple things in life. Joe is eager to teach our children the values of friendship, leadership, and independence.
After a successful first adoption through Lifetime, we are eager to embrace the journey of a second adoption to grow our family. Our first son will be the most amazing older brother. His sense of humor brightens our days and his drive to read, imagine, and learn inspires us by the minute. His patience and eagerness to do well are the qualities we are excited to see him display as an older brother. Sibling relationships will always hold strong roots within our family and we are so excited for our children to flourish together with the same. We have a strong and heart-warming relationship with our son’s birth mother and never miss an opportunity to share pictures, short movies, or stories about his youth and growth.
We are very close with our parents and siblings, often texting every day and speaking on the phone during the weekends. Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings alternate between Vermont, Connecticut, and Massachusetts every year. Our parents and siblings are all elated to join us in our second adoption journey!
Nestled in a small Massachusetts town, our home rests in a close-knit community of 13,000 people. Just a quarter-mile from the elementary school, a half-mile from the middle school, and two miles from the high school, our ten-room colonial is perfectly placed amidst one of the best school systems in the state. Our children will have separate bedrooms adjacent to each other for fun and quiet time alike. Our favorite times together are spent in our large fenced-in yard, in our living room with a fireplace and bright, natural light, and on the back deck for family BBQs and outdoor movies!
We promise to love and provide for your baby with every ounce of our heart and soul. We will bring your child into a family that is surrounded by loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We are excited to raise our children to embrace their sacred bond of adoption as a moment in time that represents a life of courage, faith, love, and loyalty. We will offer your baby a strong upbringing that is rich in faith but free to live, learn, and flourish as a respectable young lady or man in this world. Thank you for considering us as parents for your child.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
Colleen has a deep love for Irish Step Dancing and Joe has a passion for meteorology. Colleen's first love will always be the wooden floors that she performed on and the friendships she built along the way.
We were both raised catholic but our parents allowed us to choose the level of commitment that we allocated towards our faith. Colleen grew up attending church every Sunday while Joe was more apt to attend Easter and Christmas mass. After meeting Colleen, Joe found himself migrating more towards his faith and back into the church. We both attended mass on Sundays, often making a day trip into the city for brunch beforehand. We remain very close with the priest that wed us and attend church when time allows.
Our Musical Interest
Colleen has a unique remembrance of just about every Irish pub song. Joe lacks rhythm, vocals, and the ability to hold a beat but can belt out the occasional 90's Whitney Houston chorus.
About Our Home
Our home is our palazzo. We enjoy sitting by the fireplace and binge-watching Master Chef, Hell's Kitchen, and Bar Rescue. When the summer months bring warm nights, you'll find us on the deck with cheeseburgers and ice tea in hand. During snowstorms, we turn up the heat, get under the blankets, and enjoy the comfort of our family.
We Prefer a Child Who Is...
